To boldly go where I have never been before and to trust in the process
By having learned the lessons I needed to learn through being an outstanding sales professional @ Macy's in Helena, MT,
My life now is about others,
about leadership and being of service...
about being related to possibilities bigger than myself
And knowing that I've made them happen!
I am now building, a financially abundant Nikken business that is touching the lives of people I haven't even met yet.
And so, I am...
Financially Independent with multiple streams of income flowing to me on a monthly basis, woo-who :-)
Paying off our mortgage on or before November 1, 2011 (1/11/11)
Family, Joyous Love, Loyalty and Truth
Integrity-honoring one's word as oneself -
Responsibility-To be the cause in the matter of My Life
(cause - causing: bringing about; making
happen; producing )
Self-Expression - giving myself Fully to All of Life
The Opportunity to make a Difference

To Radiate Life
I am the youngest of three daughters born to Hubbard L and Helen M Allen, in Roundup, Montana, in 1954 and very proud to have been named after my father.
When I was born, my mom took the ï¾bardï¾ off of his name and put an ï¾aï¾ on it, Barda comes from Hubbard.
My nickname is Biya, the name that my nephew, Dan, invented when he was learning how to talk.
I grew up during the early to mid 60's in Roundup, population 2800, where my parents ran a family clothing store, called Who's Allen? and most everyone knew us!
In 1967, I was living with my mom in Evanston, IL, the first suburb north of Chicago.
Talk about a culture shock!!!
I was just starting the 8th grade... strange city, strange school, strange kids... yuck!
I was very overwelhmed, when the following year, I was in Evanston Township High School- Beardsley Hall - four separate high schools in one very large building.
What I was real good at in school was English, we had to write a journal and I loved writing. I poured my heart and soul into it.
Art classes came in as a close second which I pursued in a few of the colleges I attended. Even now, my paintings, collages and rag rugs hang all over my house :-)
Fast forward to a few of the jobs I have had -
One of the most memorable was that of being a change girl at the Eldorado Casino in Henderson, Nevada back in the mid to late '70's.
I wore a sixty pound change belt around my waist and traded paper money for rolls of coins to people playing the one armed bandits. Most of the customers were senior citizens, who with their monthly pension/SSI checks, gambled every day, all day . At the beginning of the month, they tipped very well and towards the end of the month they didn't.
One day, I waiting for the floor boss to exchange a $100 dollar bill for a tray of change with me. The bill slipped out of my hand and some man picked it up and went into the men's bathroom.
I didn't hestitate, I walked right in after him to demand that he return my money. Yes, the men in there didn't waste any time zipping their pants back up, and they also went to bat for me. They would not let the man that stole my money out of the men's room until I got my money back! ;-)
Other jobs were working as a Burns Security Guard at the Jewel Foods warehouse, guarding food! retail sales in the J.C. Lytton & Co clothing stores, an assistant teacher in a montesorri school, all that in the greater Chicagoland area and as a legislative lobbyist's aide.
As a legislative lobbyist's aide I worked for four months and had a year and a half off! :-)
In Montana, our legislature meets every two years and for the previous seven or eight sessions (the past fourteen years), I was an aide for a group of lobbyists here in Helena. I would pick up bills every day at the Capitol Complex and file them accordingly in their office downtown. Imagine stacks and stacks of colored paper!
Family is my greatest joy...
My husband, soulmate, love and partner forever, George, is a musician, he plays flute with the "The Edgewalkers", they play jazz venues in Helena and Butte. He also plays in "The States of Matter" an avantguard group, hard to describe, you'd really have to hear them.
We have five children - Amy, Hubbard, Nathaniel, David and Bj - (short for Barda Josephine).
Every three years or so I had a babe in arms and my attention was not more than eight inches from my face:-)
We are an unschooling family, living and learning according to our own life rhythm. A most excellent education, indeed!
This is a start, will be continued... stay tuned...
